A developer at FCA who has been making Discord communities better since 2017. My career started by building Minecraft servers, which led me into how online communities actually work. A commitment to getting the engineering right and a longer view of where things are heading, sharpened by the discipline and teamwork I learned as a fencer with the Garde Républicaine, are what I bring to FCA.
A liking for online communities
My experience includes running Discord communities for Minecraft servers, where I sharpened how I communicate and how I make content that keeps members involved.
Professional experience
As the person responsible for recruitment and for managing a team of freelancers, I worked with developers, builders and writers to produce video content of a good standard, notably for FuzeIII. That period was marked by events built to bring the community closer together.
Technical work
As project lead and site developer for Discord FR, I gained real experience in handling complex projects and in building answers to the particular needs of the Discord community.
Invention
Building Discord bots and events for Slash FR since 2019 has kept me at the front of what is possible on the platform.
Commitment
With a steady commitment to sound engineering and a longer view of how to draw people in and grow a community, I contribute to the agency as a developer who is both keen and versatile.
An unusual path
My path has been an unusual one, taking me from software development to a discipline as demanding as fencing with the Garde Républicaine.
What it taught me
Fencing for the Garde Républicaine taught me discipline, concentration and teamwork, qualities I bring to every part of my life, building online communities included.
