A developer at FCA. I found Discord in 2017 and have grown up alongside the platform since. Development properly began for me in 2018, administering and building for several Minecraft servers. That let me try out different technologies and understand what it actually takes, technically, to keep an online community active.
On the professional side
Drawn to development from a young age, and to online communities as well, I have been lucky enough to work on a good many projects.
Between 2018 and 2020 I held various roles as a developer or as a systems and network administrator on Minecraft servers. That taught me early what a community expects, and what it takes technically to keep an infrastructure like that standing, even through a period of heavy growth.
Then, shortly after the first lockdown, I joined the moderation team at Disboard, where I stayed until the end of 2023. That experience was genuinely professionalising, and made me much more comfortable expressing myself in English, including under pressure.
It is with that self-taught technical grounding that I have been studying at Epitech since 2023, working towards a degree as a software engineering expert.
Outside work
When I am not at my computer probing the current technical limits, I like getting lost in circuit boards, engineering drawings or a robotics project. Every personal project is an excuse to build a bridge between the software I write day to day and the physical world, using microcontrollers and small gadgets. The sound of 3D printers is my night light, and designing circuit boards is a genuine pastime.
I care a good deal about the social side too, and volunteer with the French Red Cross on emergency and first-aid duties. Being there for people who need it, and able to give first-line medical help when it is called for, is something I am genuinely proud of.
