Creating a mascot and the world around it
Step into the visual world of Slash FR: a living graphic universe, a mascot people recognise, and a design system on Figma that members build with.

Inside the visual world of Slash FR : invention, community and craft
We built a world for people to step into on the Discord server, with a mascot people recognise and a whole visual language around it. From a single emoji spun out across dozens of uses, we rethought how the community welcomes people and draws them in.
The Roosters pack: more than a mascot
At the centre of the identity sits the Roosters pack, a set of emoji versions of Rooster, our mascot. A nod to where we come from, Rooster carries the spirit of the community on Discord. From his many poses and expressions to the animated versions reserved for members who support Slash FR, he reflects how varied and how alive the place is.

A banner that moves with you
Our vector banner changes with the seasons and the time of day, and forms the backdrop to the whole story. It shows different corners of the server and of Discord itself, packed with cultural references and easter eggs that reward members for looking closely.

A Figma design system that changes how it works
The real ingenuity behind all of this is the Figma design system. It brings a degree of flexibility and personalisation you rarely see, letting any member combine emoji and graphic parts into something of their own. Open to everyone, the tool encourages people to express themselves and makes them feel part of the place.

A visual journey with no end
At Slash FR we believe creativity and invention are what bring people together. This visual work is not a display of technical skill. It is an invitation to join something that keeps going, where every member adds a thread to the fabric of the community.
